Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using "binta" (the "App"). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. The Service

The App helps you remember the goal you set through periodic notifications (the "slap"), so that you spend more time on that goal. The App does not guarantee achievement of your goal, any outcome, your health, or any other result.

2. Fees and Payment (In-App Purchases)

The App is free to use. In addition, there is a paid plan, "binta Pro," that unlocks extra features. All prices include tax and follow the App Store display.

  • binta Pro (monthly, auto-renewing): 300 JPY / month (the local equivalent applies in other regions).
  • binta Pro (yearly, auto-renewing): 1,800 JPY / year (the local equivalent applies in other regions).
  • Pro unlocks all themes, unlimited scenes, holding several goals at once, restoring past goals, record analysis, and "words to yourself," among others.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
  • A subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and a renewal fee is charged.
  • After purchase, you can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renewal (cancel) in your App Store account settings.
  • Refunds are subject to Apple's terms and practices. The Developer does not provide pro-rated refunds for the current period.

3. Conditions of Use

  • You use the App at your own responsibility.
  • You are responsible for preparing the devices, communication environment, etc. necessary to use the App.

4. Prohibited Acts

You must not:

  • Engage in acts that violate laws or public order and morals
  • Gain unauthorized access to, or place excessive load on, the App or related systems
  • Circumvent usage limits, or modify, disassemble, or otherwise analyze the App
  • Infringe the rights or interests of others
  • Engage in acts the Developer deems inappropriate

5. Disclaimer

  • The Developer does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of the App's content or functions. The App does not guarantee goal achievement or any other result, and the consequences of decisions and actions based on your use of the App belong to you.
  • The Developer is not liable, to the extent permitted by law, for any damages incurred by you through use of the App.
  • The App may be changed, suspended, or terminated without notice. The Developer is not liable if the App becomes unavailable due to communication conditions, device issues, or the like.

6. Intellectual Property

Copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights related to the App belong to the Developer or the rightful holders. You must not reproduce, modify, reprint, or distribute them without the Developer's permission.

7. Usage Restrictions

If you violate these Terms, the Developer may take necessary measures such as suspending your use.

8. Changes to the Terms

The Developer may change these Terms as necessary. If there are material changes, we will notify you within the App or by a method the Developer deems appropriate.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute regarding the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Developer's location.
