This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how "Price Book (Nedancho)" (the "App") handles user information. The operator handles your information appropriately in accordance with this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Stored on Your Device
- The shopping trips, items, stores, and prices you record
- The status of each shopping trip (in progress, shopping, closed)
This information is stored only on your device. Information is sent to the operator's servers only when you use one of the features described in 1.2 through 1.5 below. The App has no account registration or login. The App does not ask you to enter personal information such as your name, address, phone number, or email address.
1.2 Use of a third-party AI service (reading photos)
The App's photo reading (reading item names and prices from photos of price tags, receipts, and flyers) and its category guess when you enter a price by hand use a third-party AI service: the Gemini API provided by Google LLC.
- Data sent: the image you take or choose (scaled down to 1024 pixels on the long side and re-encoded as JPEG) and the instructions for reading it (including the code of the currency you have selected). Everything shown in the image is sent, including the store name, date and time, items, prices, and any member number printed on it. When you enter a price by hand, the item name you type may be sent to guess its category.
- Data not sent: because the image is re-encoded before it is sent, no location data (such as where the photo was taken) is attached. The App does not collect your name, email address, or similar information, so none is sent. No device identifier or IP address is passed to Google (the operator's server relays the request, so Google sees only the operator's server as the sender).
- How it is collected: before reading a photo, the App shows a screen explaining what is sent, who receives it, and how it is handled. Only if you agree does the App send this data, each time you use photo reading. Nothing is sent before you agree or unless you use photo reading (the category guess for prices entered by hand also runs only after you agree).
- How it is sent: through the operator's server (Cloudflare Workers) to the Gemini API; the result that comes back is shown in the App. You check the item names and prices on a confirmation screen before they are recorded, and you can correct or cancel them instead of saving.
- Use: only to create reading results for you (item names, prices, categories, and similar). It is not used for advertising or any other purpose.
- On the operator's server: the images and item names you send are not stored and not logged; they are discarded once the result is returned. To enforce monthly usage limits, the server keeps a random identifier generated by your device (not linked to your name, email address, or similar) and a count, deleted after about 60 days. When you go over the free uses, the server asks RevenueCat about your paid plan using the anonymous purchase identifier described in 1.6, and keeps the answer for up to 6 hours. To prevent abuse, it applies a short-term rate limit based on the IP address of the connection, but the operator does not store IP addresses.
- At Google, and equal protection: the operator uses the Gemini API with a paid billing account. Under the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service, Google does not use prompts or responses sent to Paid Services to improve its products (including training its AI), and processes them under the Data Processing Addendum for Products Where Google is a Data Processor. Google logs prompts and responses for a limited period (55 days, as published in November 2026) solely to detect and prevent abuse. Through these terms, the operator confirms that Google protects this data to the same or a greater degree than this Policy.
- Withdrawing consent: you can withdraw your consent at any time in the App under Settings > AI photo reading. After that, nothing is sent until you agree again (you can still enter prices by hand). Data already sent is not kept on the operator's server, as described above, and is deleted at Google after the period above.
- This feature is free for the first use only. A paid plan (see 1.6 below) is required for further use. Even with the paid plan, there is a monthly usage limit to prevent abuse (this limit may change).
- Access to the camera and photo library is requested only when you use this feature. Even without granting access, you can use the App by entering item names and prices by hand.
1.3 About the Friends Feature
- Adding a friend uses a 6-character invite code or a QR code. The code is valid for 24 hours from when it is issued, and issuing a new code invalidates the previous one.
- Once a friend connection is made, both sides' chosen nickname and a table of "currently valid prices" (store name, item name, quantity, category, current price, and upcoming sales) are exchanged through the operator's server (Cloudflare). This does not include your shopping list, purchase records, items recorded without buying, your savings amount, store-level discounts, or your own notes.
- This exchanged price table is kept on the operator's server for as long as you keep using the friends feature (it holds only the currently valid prices, not price history). Removing a friend makes each other's price table disappear from both sides.
- You can add up to 30 friends.
- This feature is free to use.
1.4 About the Device Transfer Code
- When you issue a device transfer code, a copy of your records (the content described in 1.1, plus your friends and device-transfer settings) is held by the operator's server (Cloudflare). The code is 8 characters long, valid for up to 24 hours from when it is issued, and becomes invalid once used. Issuing a new code invalidates the previous one.
- The copy is deleted as soon as it is received on the new device. If it is not received, it is deleted after at most 24 hours.
- This feature is free to use.
1.5 About Share Links (a Paid Plan Feature)
- A share link lets you show a range you choose — your price notebook, shopping list, purchase records, or household budget — on a dedicated page (a URL starting with pairmoni.com/n/). The content you choose to show is held on the operator's server (Cloudflare).
- This page has no login, so anyone who knows the link can view it. Only share the link with people you intend to see it, such as family.
- You can change what is shown at any time (the link itself stays the same). Issuing a new link invalidates the previous one.
- If you cancel the paid plan, the link stops working (the data held is not deleted immediately — there is a grace period of up to 24 hours to account for the time it takes to confirm a renewal). If you subscribe again, the same link becomes viewable again.
- This feature is available only with the paid plan.
1.6 About Billing Information
- The App's paid plan, "Nedancho Premium" (an in-app purchase subscription), is processed by Apple (App Store), and purchase status is managed using RevenueCat. The operator does not retain credit card numbers or other payment information.
- To manage your purchase status, an anonymous identifier tied to your purchase and its purchase/renewal state are used. These are not linked to personal information such as your name or email address.
1.7 Information We Do Not Collect
- Personal information such as your name, contact details, location, or contact list
- An advertising identifier (IDFA). The App does not collect this, since it does not display ads.
- Any proprietary analytics tool for analyzing usage. The App does not include one.
The App does not engage in any "tracking" across other companies' apps or websites.
2. Purpose of Use
- Providing the App's features (recording, comparison, shopping list)
- Reading photos and guessing categories (only with your consent), enforcing the related usage limit, and preventing abuse
- Providing the friends feature (exchanging price tables)
- Transferring your records when you change devices
- Providing share links
- Providing and managing the subscription
3. Third-Party Disclosure and Processors
The operator does not provide your information to third parties except where required by law. However, within the scope described in Section 1 above, processing is entrusted to the following external services. As a result, information may be processed by each company (including outside Japan) to the extent necessary.
- Cloudflare (relaying photo reading, holding friends' price tables, temporarily holding device-transfer copies, relaying and holding share-link content, and recording usage counts)
- Google LLC (reading photos and guessing categories via the Gemini API, only when you agree to and use photo reading; see 1.2)
- Apple (App Store and billing)
- RevenueCat (managing subscription purchase status)
4. About Network Communication
The App's recording, comparison, and cart features work using only the data on your device. Network communication occurs when you read an item name and price from a photo, and when you use the friends feature, device transfer, or share links. You can record and compare prices even where there is no signal.
5. Data Retention
Records on your device are retained until you delete them within the App or uninstall the App. Images and item names sent for reading are not kept on the operator's server (for Google, see 1.2). A friend's price table is kept for as long as you keep using the friends feature (until it is updated by removing the friend, transferring devices, or similar); a device-transfer copy is kept until it is received (at most 24 hours); and share-link content is kept while the link is active (including a grace period of up to 24 hours after canceling the paid plan).
6. Your Rights
You have rights including access, correction, deletion, and restriction of processing. Data on your device can be erased by deleting it within the App or uninstalling the App. You can withdraw your consent to photo reading at any time under Settings > AI photo reading in the App (see 1.2). A friend's price table stops being shared when you remove that friend, and share-link content stops being viewable when you issue a new link or cancel the paid plan. For questions, please contact us at the address below.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children, and the operator does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
This Policy may be revised in response to changes in law or improvements to the service. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
