Geo Dojo
Country guessing drills: signs, flags and letters, about ten seconds a question.
Overview
When you look at a street and try to name the country, what does the work is not memory. It is knowing where to look.
Geo Dojo is a training ground for building those places to look, one at a time. About ten seconds per question. No map, no score, no timer.
- Language and letters (ø means Denmark or Norway; ș means Romania)
- Road signs (plate colour, border, and how the lettering is set)
- Flags (aspect ratio, number of stars, order of the colours)
- Bollards (the shape of the head and the pattern of the reflector)
- Road lines (colour of the centre and edge lines, solid or broken)
- Crossings (colour of the stripes and the lines drawn around them)
- Distance markers (the colour of the plate, and whether it changes with the class of road)
What this app deliberately does not have
- No ranking, no streaks. The moment a ranking appears, people start choosing the questions they can already answer. This is a training ground, not a match.
- Answers are shown side by side. The correct figure sits next to the figure of the country you chose.
- Not a single photograph. Signs, bollards and road markings are vector figures drawn from the figures published in national regulations and road-authority manuals. Flags are the official public-domain SVGs.
- Practise offline. Every question ships inside the app. Practising itself never calls out; the app reaches the network only to buy or restore a paid plan. There is no account.
- Your record stays on the device. Export and import it any time from Settings, free.
Pricing
Free to start: Language & letters and Flags — around 380 questions — are open to everyone, with an occasional advertisement between practice sessions. "Geo Dojo Pro" (JPY 300 / month or JPY 2,000 / year, auto-renewing) opens the other five kinds and Stats, and removes the advertising. Exporting and importing your practice record is free on any plan.
