Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using "Geo Dojo" (the "App"). By using the App you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. Service

The App presents practice questions in which you choose a country from clues such as letters, road signs, flags, bollards and road markings, and stores your record on your device. It does not guarantee any outcome, including learning results or performance in any test or competition.

2. Pricing and payment (in-app purchases)

The App is free to use. In addition, a paid plan, "Geo Dojo Pro", unlocks some of its features. All prices include tax and follow what the App Store displays.

  • Geo Dojo Pro (monthly, auto-renewing): JPY 300 per month
  • Geo Dojo Pro (yearly, auto-renewing): JPY 2,000 per year
  • The features unlocked by Pro are listed on the plan screen inside the App.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when the purchase is confirmed.
  • A subscription renews automatically, and the renewal fee is charged, unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • After purchase you can manage the subscription, or turn off auto-renewal, from your App Store account settings.
  • Refunds follow Apple's terms and practice. The operator does not issue pro-rata refunds for the current period.

On the free plan, advertising is shown at the breaks between practice sessions (never while you are answering a question). With a paid plan, no advertising is shown. Exporting and importing your practice record is free, with or without a paid plan.

3. Accuracy of the material

  • The figures in the App are drawn by the operator from the figures published in national traffic-sign regulations, statutes and road-authority manuals. They are not photographs of real objects, and they are not approved or supervised by any government.
  • Regulations change, and actual practice varies by region and by period. The material in the App is a study aid; it must not be relied on for driving, legal compliance, or any other practical decision.

4. No affiliation with third parties

The App is not affiliated with, related to, endorsed by, or sponsored by any map service, game, or other third-party service. It uses no imagery or data from any such service.

5. Conditions of use

  • You use the App at your own responsibility.
  • You are responsible for providing the equipment needed to use the App.

6. Prohibited conduct

  • Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
  • Copying, modifying, decompiling or disassembling the App beyond what the law permits
  • Acts that interfere with the operation of the App

7. Your data and disclaimer

  • Your practice record is stored only on your device. The operator keeps no backup. Records may be lost through device failure, loss, deletion of the App, or OS updates.
  • You can back the record up yourself with the export function in Settings. Regular exports are recommended.
  • To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the App.

8. Intellectual property

Rights in the App and in the figures and text created for it belong to the operator. The flag SVGs are public-domain works.

9. Usage restrictions

The operator may restrict use of the App if you breach these Terms.

10. Changes to the Terms

The operator may change these Terms where it judges this necessary. Amended Terms take effect when posted on this page.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. Any dispute concerning the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the operator's location as the court of first instance.
