Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") sets out how user information is handled in "Surushinai" (the "App"). The developer (the "Developer") handles user information appropriately in accordance with this Policy.

1. We do not create accounts

The App has no sign-up and no sign-in. It never asks you for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or any other personal information.

2. Information we handle

2.1 Information stored on your device

  • A record of every time you answered "Yes" or "No" — from the home screen widget, from a Lock Screen control, or in the App itself (the time you tapped, and which answer you chose)
  • The counts built from those records: today's total, the 24-hour shape of your day, and the last 7 days

All of this is stored only on your device (in an App Group) and is never sent to the Developer's servers. The App does not ask you to enter your name, address, phone number, email address, or any other personal information.

2.2 Information related to purchases

  • In-app purchases (subscriptions) are processed by Apple (the App Store), and purchase status is managed using RevenueCat. The Developer never holds your credit card number or any other payment details.
  • To manage purchase status, an anonymous identifier tied to the purchase (a RevenueCat user ID) and the state of the purchase or renewal are used. These are not linked to your name, email address, or any other personal information.

2.3 Export and import

  • The App lets you export the records on your device as a JSON file, and import them again, free of charge. You choose where the exported file goes (using the iOS share sheet); it never passes through the Developer's servers.

2.4 What we never collect

  • The App does not access your location, contacts, photos or media, microphone, or camera.
  • The App does not use third-party analytics tools that track behavior (Google Analytics, Firebase, and the like).
  • The App shows no advertising.
  • The App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and never asks for iOS tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency).
  • The App uses neither push notifications nor local notifications.

3. Purposes of use

The Developer uses the information above for the following purposes.

  • Providing and operating the App: storing, aggregating, and displaying the records of your "Yes" and "No" taps
  • Providing the export and import features
  • Providing in-app purchases and managing purchase status
  • Keeping the App stable, fixing defects, preventing misuse, and improving quality and features

4. Third parties and external services

Except where required by law, the Developer does not provide user information to third parties. However, to the extent necessary to provide and operate the App, the handling of information is entrusted to the following external services. As a result, information may be processed outside your country to the extent necessary.

  • Apple (payment processing for in-app purchases)
  • RevenueCat (management of in-app purchases)

5. GDPR and other laws outside Japan

The App respects data protection laws around the world, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Data minimization: the App processes the minimum information needed to work, on your device, and collects no personally identifiable information on any external server.
  • Your control over data: uninstalling the App deletes all of the App's data stored on your device.
  • Legal basis for purchase information: processing related to purchase status is carried out to the extent necessary to provide the purchased service, that is, to perform the contract.

6. Retention

Information stored on your device stays there for as long as you use the App, or until you delete it or uninstall the App. Information relating to the management of purchase status is retained only for as long as needed for the purposes above.

7. Security

The Developer takes the measures necessary and appropriate to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of the information handled, and to keep it secure.

8. Disclosure, correction, and deletion

You may request disclosure, correction, or deletion of your own information held by the Developer. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding.

Please note: because the App does not normally collect identifying information such as your name or email address, and because the main data lives on your device, the Developer may be unable to identify it. Data on your device can be deleted by uninstalling the App.

9. Changes

The Developer may revise this Policy in response to changes in laws or in the service. If there are material changes, we will notify you within the App or by a method the Developer deems appropriate.
